Phase 1

This project has been ongoing since 1997 (phase 1). The project has involved the utilization of ex-RAF buildings, where the 1^st exhibits were housed in a 10m span Nissan Hut. Offices and public toilets are housed in ex-RAF buildings. On excavating the 7,000 sqm site The Air Battle of Malta Hangar 25m * 30m was erected in insulated panels on steel trussed portals.
